That was good Lesley, being Run Director at your local parkrun, especially as it was the 100th Anniversary. These milestones always seem to attract more runners. Good also that you managed some hilly loops.

Thanks GG, the trail shoes weren't new, but the first outing in them this year. They coped with the conditions very well.

It was good that you were able to find safe areas for your intervals.

Thanks Steve, I enjoy long runs, and hope to increase the distance during the year. Last year, I very seldom got into double figures.

I'm sorry that you are still suffering with a cough, and waiting for the results of your heart tests.

Well below freezing this morning, and everywhere is very frosty. I walked very cautiously on the pavements with my shopping.

Similar conditions here hs, skipped morning run and went at lunchtime again still very slippy in places. 3 slow and steady miles in the bank.

We have our foodbank run scheduled tomorrow night it was postponed pre Xmas because of icy conditions wondering if same will happen tomorrow.

Well done for getting the shopping and you home safely.

GG, glad that you got home safely after your steady run in slippery conditions.

I hope your foodbank run scheduled for tomorrow is able to go ahead.

Home made broth is just the job this weather.

The club's training session has been cancelled this evening, due to the pavements being icy still.

Everyone is doing lots of good stuff!
Hope you recover soon Steve

Another 5 k today. Off this week so thought I'd do short runs most days seeing as a long run early in the week wasn't going to happen
Hopefully I will get a longer one in at the weekend as my 10m race is getting closer
Definite improvement today but still hard work

A good hill reps session with 2 running friends on a local road this morning, which thankfully wasn't too frosty. It comprised 5 reps, using the hr screen. My average hr was 142 and max 157. I was hoping to achieve a higher max.

Sounds good HS.

Broth for lunch sounds good GG. It's one I make regularly.

All the best with your training Pix.

It's been really cold here. I went out just before sunset yesterday. Was good to see some daylight and the mud in the woods was frozen. Might ditch tomorrow morning's run as we have had snow/rain so it will likely be an ice rink in the morning.

With my 5m race series the weekend before

Was going well before Christmas and my run commute gives my a 9m ish day but not done more than 5m for nearly 2 months

There is a 20m race on same time which is 2 laps so time not an issue but I was hoping for non stop and about 2:35-40 but nit sure now
