That's not great news Steve, sorry to hear that. I am glad you can still get out and run and hope you can for years yet.

50 miles per week is a hell of a lot GG, a training plan also sounds good.

Doing that sounds like a good idea FF, might try something like that too.

Parkrun for me this morning, it was 8 degrees and no rain/wind/ice it was fine. Managed under 30 mins which I'm happy with as it's not an easy course. Would like to see some improvement over the year.

I have managed 2 short rowing sessions and 2 30 min S&C sessions this week. The rowing is a good warmup for the S&C. Trying to keep it up but will see.

Steve that is bad news take care and may your running continue!

GG 50 miles a week is an impressive goal..I cant imagine trying!!!!

Right..I have been laid up since the 2nd with this dreaded cold/flu bug that is doing the rounds...so I will be running tomorrow and looking forward to it

Managed a good stretch and some bodyweight work this morning.

Good running to all for the wekend

I’m working on that I’ve done an ultra within 6months and my highest mileage week at the race it was 87.7 I’ve kept it around 25-30 since and coach wasn’t too fazed by my plan I have an easy week week before and after

I will listen to my body and if it seems too much I’ll knock it back.

Hope the cold is gone mine is determined to keep coming back.

Sorry to hear Steve that you are having to curtail your running whilst awaiting more results from your tests. I'm hoping that you have many more years of running, even if it is at a more leisurely pace.

Well done for your sub 30 minutes parkrun Lesley.

I hope your run goes well tomorrow Turkhish.

Best of luck with your training GG. You are wise to listen to your body, to avoid injury.

The sun is out now, and it's a lovely afternoon. The complete opposite from this mornings wind and rain.

Hubby is helping his dad with his electric car he can’t get it to charge at charging points. I’ve had a lovely morning done some yoga and cardio. I need more days like this.

Off for a walk with Ellie when he gets back weather is much improved here too

Sorry to hear that's not a straightforward positive outcome, steve45. Hope the next fortnight brings better news and good advice.

Thank you everyone, it is indeed a bit of a pain in the a** but nothing I can do about it. (Ah ..yes there is..I can return to being the top grumbler in the thread LL!!😂).
Good Park Run there Leslie; hope that bug clears quickly Turkish. I'm sure you'll monitor your training well gg, you always have done.
I'm surprised I've still got a green tick after completing 4.2 miles using my HRM again and making sure I wasn't in "danger". I'm glad my use of HRM and what I was seeing prompted me to pursue any issue with my heart.

Well done Steve for using your HRM to monitor and control the pace and miles that you do.

I'm having a rest day today, after yesterdays hard road 5k. I didn't want to run like last Sunday, when I had to cut the run short.

I hope you got on OK with your run today Turkhish.
Sensible approach steve45.
Wise man hillstrider.
Lesley C, I should do strength and core work but never get around to it. I did do some a good while back now but stopped for some silly reason.
I went out this morning and did just over 16 miles. Very pleased with my pace and how easy the run felt considering how little I've ran since Christmas. 3 runs in total this week and just over 31 miles ran.
