Nothing to post because I remain sidelined with a bad chest and horrible cough! Hope that I'm feeling ok enough to get out by the weekend.
What does WHW stand for gg?! I've missed it somewhere.

Sorry to hear this Steve I feel your pain I had it in December
It’s the West Highland Way a friend and I are doing it in September aiming for 3-4 days so we can challenge the back to back runs about 26-30m per day but slow enough to appreciate it.

Sorry to hear that you are still suffering with a bad chest, and horrible cough Steve. I hope it won't last much longer.
Best of luck with your training for the WHW GG. The event certainly sounds to be very challenging.
I'm having a rest day today, to recover from yesterday's interval session. I'm at the age now where I can't get away with running the day after a hard training session or race.

Gws Steve. Hillstrider your May need to take a rest day but it's good training that you do, it's very rare for you to do 'junk' miles. 10.5 miles for me this morning.

Well done on your runs over the last few days. I was out with the club on Tuesday, my lungs have definitely suffered post covid, was at the back of the pack and I wasn't even that slow. Heading out once I get home from work for some miles.
Enjoy WHW GG. I know a few folk who have done the race - 95 miles in one go. Mrs Shanksi on here has done it 3/4 times.
Hope you feel better soon Steve.
Welcome to the thread Foxy.

Thanks Lesley the only reason I ever wanted to run an ultra was for WHW I never even wanted to do a marathon, it’s been a goal for about 14 years now. I will do the race one day but this is an opportunity to recce the route and enjoy the journey. But the way we’re going we’ll not be organised enough to get it planned in time 🤣
Enjoy your run. I’m also sure my lungs have suffered since whatever I had back December 2019/early 2020 I def feel it on hills more than I ever used too and I’m fitter now then pre 2020.

Just a quick hi from me. So sorry to hear you’re not 100% Steve.
We can both motivate each other to catch up once I’m done holidaying and you’re better.
Some great running FF. All my runs here have been a struggle but I’m grateful I can run so try not to complain. 🤣 Enjoy a well deserved rest day HS.

Thanks all for the good wishes . Great to see notes about everyone's training but a pity about your struggling LL.
Wise rest day hs after tough intervals and excellent miles adding up FF. Ah.. West Highland Way gg! Now that IS an impressive target, based on your historical tenacity you'll do it and enjoy it. Your lung suffering seems something like mine which began in April 2020. I read yesterday some research that indicates people with long covid are usually ok after 12 months. (Usually!!).
No chance of running even today after six days of seeing the "make up miles" grow bigger! At least my wife is putting in some good miles , due back from a 12 miler soon so that keeps me motivated.
