Great 18 miler there FF. Looking right on track for a good marathon. I think it would be realistic for me to say that I'll never run eighteen miles again! In fact I've not run that far since 1986!! I tend to run mainly flat routes simply because they're closest to home but when (IF!) I do a run longer than 10k then the undulations and hills appear! Yeah, great run there Lesley. Still frosty down here and only a short jog on road for a change.

That was a nice long hilly run Lesley, well done!
Thanks Turkhish, it's quite a challenging course, and tougher when running it solo. I only take photos 📸 on solo runs.
It was minus one degree when I set off this morning Steve, but not frosty. I ran a solo 10k on roads at a steady/easy pace. At one point, a runner on the other side of the road overtook me, and being competitive, I tried to keep up with him. I soon gave up the chase, however, as he was probably half my age or younger, and he was wearing what I call "magic shoes" I tend to forget whilst running that I'm not as young as I once was.😁

Lots of great running going on here.
Yesterday was not the day I wanted. Long story short I dropped down to 50k after getting seriously lost. Went through every emotion possible was extreme grateful to my husband and various good friends and coach who without their amazing support it would have been a Dnf. My slowest run ever but a joy to cross the finish line and draw a line under the day.
I knew I could have done it, especially on a challenging course where half the signs had been removed the night before mainly at the start, hence getting lost.
Total mileage on a 50k course was 61k enough said. I am now taking a week off
Have a great day everyone

Sorry to hear that your race didn't go to plan Lorraine, due to you getting seriously lost. How frustrating that half the signs had been removed, the night before the race. Well done though for completing the 50k, running 61k in total.
Well done GG for your 13 miles yesterday, completing 46 miles for the week. It's a while since I've run that many too. You've earned todays rest day!

How frustrating Lorraine but you're definitely a winner having done 61k. You deserve your week off.

Sorry it wasn’t the race you wanted Lorraine, but well done for running the 61km. Enjoy the week off.
That’s a great total GG.
Temperatures looking like they are on the up this week, I really hope so, should be in summer kit by now.

Getting lost unfortunately isn't a rarity on ultras. Glad you were able to get over the finish line Lorraine and I'm sure you'll be back doing crazy distances again! Cold east wind here and we need some serious temperature rises! A good 5k for me along trails was my best since September. Hopefully, more to come...maybe the intervals etc are doing their job!
