Woohoo,ive done it !!!!!!!!!!
Now run 1009 miles in 2012, passed the 1000 mile with 3 friends and got a little cheer and a handshake at 6:30 this morning in the pitch black freezing cold running alongside the river tyne, a great way to hit a milestone ive been after for 5 years of running

A Johnny come lately to this thread, but I made it to 1000 miles today - bang on after entering my mileage for a cross country race today!
Congrats to everyone who has hit this target this year!
Good luck to those who have a few more runs left to do it!

Now that I have achieved my aim of 1000 miles in 2012 I undertook a gentle 4M run this morning with another Vintage Vet and a Super Vintage Vet which keeps me feeling young with years of running still to come.
Tomorrow I will put in 6M followed by another 4M Thursday and a very gentle parkrun on Saturday. Sunday will see me off to Barcelona for their New Year's Eve 10K and a bit of a party before coming back the following day.
Won't drink too much (I hope) as it is the Tadworth 10M the first weekend in January which gives a nice start to building up my mileage for 2013 although I don't know what mileage group to opt for. Best perhaps not to be too ambitious but to stay with this one!!
I hope Christmas goes well for everyone and that you manage some quality time with your families and friends over the next week, or two. My thoughts and thanks to those of you who have to work over this period looking after us and keeping us safe.

Finished my 1000 a couple of days ago and celebrated today with a double - 4 and a quarter this a.m. and 4.69 this p.m. Got parkrun on Christmas Day and some social runs before end of the year! It'll be farthest I've ever done in a year, 2012! Happy!

Hi everyone, I am not going to make the majic 1000 mls this year but it has been fun joining in this thread,All the very best to everyone for Xmas and the new year. I will give it a go in 2013.
