I’m running on the road as all the (teenage) kids are on the footpath. As I pass the kids I hop back on the path. A woman was walking across road not looking annd literally stepped in the path in front of me. I had to stop and step off the path and I almost tripped. Under my breath I say fsake (not the whole word & so quiet) next thing I hear is excuse me and followed by yes you… I turn around and she starts shouting at me for swearing at her I calmly said I didn’t swear i said f not the word ‘but it’s what you meant'. I said you can hear me mutter but not me running or see anything explaining she had walked directly in my path - she said I was avoiding a child - I challenged saying there was no child (there wasn’t) you just walked across without looking. By now we are on the front street crowds of teenagers making their way to school & she started really shouting at me. Even the kids looked confused.

Adults can be really oblivious to their surroundings relying on others to keep them safe and then get defensive when you call them out for it. I usually tell them that they are giving a bad example to the kids how you shouldn't act in traffic. 9.5/100 after a nice 5 miler at night.
