tipsku Aug 2023 11:21pm, 25 Aug 2023 3,330 posts	0 tipsku Today's 10k race brought me over the line. 103.3 miles and counting. The race was a tale of extremes. We started in hot weather with a thunderstorm rolling in about 30 minutes in. I could see it drawing closer in each lap when I got out of the park. The temperature dropped nearly 10 degrees. I've never run in such a downpour before. Water came down the streets and I felt like I was struggling against the current. Luckily, I missed the fallen tree - I must have left the park a few minutes before it happened. The lightning show was impressive, too.

Didn't manage yesterday morning's planned run as Thursday's race pace effort and a long lake swim that evening caught up with me! Long run tomorrow which will get me well over the line.
