Urgh I’m feeling dreadful I thought it was from the recent crazy life but tonight I’m stuffed up, shivery & a bit of a niggly throat. I feel exhausted. I think it’s similar to what my mam has had this week. I was going to run tomorrow to try to make the 100 but I’m thinking I will have a lie in and a rest. Of course I may feel ok tomorrow with any luck.

Sensible option to rest up GG. I do hope you're feeling better soon though.

Thanks both feeling a litttle better this morning but going to take today off just to be sure. At stage now I don’t want to risk getting ill and it affect my op.

Hope you feel better soon gg. Definitely sensible to take it easy! Hope all those with rain are managing to stay warm and dry. We have blue skies here but you can see where it's been raining a lot recently - lots of wet leaves and puddles all over the paths. Mr CasB managed to find a relatively dry route for our 10k this morning until it took us across a very wet and somewhat boggy field! Reminded me why I don't do cross-country... 74.7/100. |

Reasonable decision, geordiegirl. Enjoy your rest day and stay healthy for your op. Best wishes for it and the recovery afterwards. Thanks Badger. I managed 2000+ last year but this year, I struggled in a similar way to you. 2022 started great but things were gradually falling apart after the marathon in May. The trail run in July contributed to Achilles tendon troubles which kept me from running long runs until September. Since then, I've been healthy but missing 100 miles for two months really set me back. I was a bit sad that my long streak of 100+ months came to an end but I had to let my body recover. |
