Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Pity about the Tokyo Marathon and your friend's entry. They are not refunding entry fees so when a holiday is booked it's a must and not to throw the whole lot of money away.
What a heart rate Peter, ten less than mine when it's at its best!

Lost a little motivation at the moment, it's amazing how a couple of cancelled races and life in general can affect things. In the loop of getting frustrated with myself for not going out, but can't be arsed to go out.

Struggled out the door this morning after failing to get out for the last 2 days and enjoyed it, so hopefully back on track :-).

Surely if the flights are still all going ahead then just go & enjoy Tokyo, but yes very annoying.

Good luck for the results Peter, fingers crossed it is just one of those things with no underlying cause.

PF, hope you are feeling ok after fainting the other day? My resting heart rate is 44 and thankfully have never had any problems.

No run today, but cross training by edging one side of my drive where grass had overgrown it. Hard work and I will probably have an achy back in the morning.😬

Thanks Hillstrider, no further incidents although have been careful.

Cardiologist words: low resting HR generally a good thing for longevity but may cause problems as I get older. Not on any "heart" drugs so pacemaker would be answer if continued problems but hopefully not for 10-15 years...

Hope things remain okay for you, PeterFay.

I got out for a last seaside run this morning which takes me to 82/100. Hopefully tomorrow’s long run will take me to within a few miles of the target. :)

ok..I might not be able to run as fast but my heart is faster then Peter's and hillstriders!! I recall Steve Ovett collapsing in LA Olympics 1984, his resting HR was 28 I believe and in a state of semi consciousness he was desperate to tell them not to try and get his heart rate higher by using drugs!
