About Me
Old timer, ex semi-pro footballer. Joined (only) local club back in 1984 to run XC and gain support for marathon training. Although ran some quick times during racing career they were, at the time, ordinary club runner times but nowadays would win many races. Still thoroughly enjoy my running but nothing beats racing - even slowly. Made some great aquatancies over the years running for GB Masters in France plus races in NZ, Sweden and Denmark. In July 2023, I had a stroke and with a 8 weeks in Hospital and then a really tired my times have got worse and the main being the parkrun. I have a XC season coming up and I hope to run at least 2 of the Birmingham XC (First Division). In July 2023 I suffered a Stroke and my time and lost a two minute per mile.
