Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

atko How bizarre to match my PB to the exact second. Started too far back so a good run. Controlled, went really hard to clear pack on occasion. Great fun.

What's more 40th puts me in the top 2.5% of a pretty good field of runners. 9th over 40yrs

Lovely race, will definitely do this again.

Burto First proper run with Browner - felt really good, probably a bit too cautious over the first half. Good course, great weather!

Go-KL Coming back from Malaysia/Australia so may be jetlagged and may do very long run 2-3 days earlier, but if I am in shape would like to have a go at my PB...

First time I'd run this race and wasn't sure what to expect. First mile was quite quick and a little frantic, legs felt okay but already felt as if I couldn't push much harder than half marathon pace. Miles two and three were mostly uphill and quite rutted at times on the trail path - which got a little bit dispiriting as I couldn't run as fast as I'd liked. Went through 5km in 17:50 which was a bit slower than I'd hoped. Through 6k and the good crowd support I picked up the pace and was able to reel in a few athletes as we ran on the roads, then struggled a little on some real twists and turns near the park. Ran strong through to the finish, feeling pretty fresh and as though it was run at 10 mile / half marathon effort. So only 11 seconds off PB and a little disappointed but shows I am in good shape. Finished 14th
