oprah We should have arrived on time but were stuck in a traffic queue for an hour, which meant I was one of the last runners to cross the start line. Despite having to dodge quite a few walkers and slower runners, the course was beautiful and I had a massive PB. The finish area was too narrow, which meant I had to stop sprinting at 50m. A beautiful race, but they need to sort out the traffic.

Pegg A much more positive frame of mind got me around today. I didn't give up! And I'm pleased with my time too, based on the fact that I've not done too much training lately.

stephenferre After poor showings in the last two races, I'm going to switch to reverse splits on this one. Hopefully, I'll be able to kick through the second half better than previous races. A sub-50 was on, but I was shielded off the finish line by slowing runners right at the finish. Fetch rounded my watch up from 50:02, to 50:03, but my official chip time was 50:04. Still my best 10K since 2004.
