RFJ Solent Half Report wet on the way there and way back, but rain held off during, byt the wind did not... a 1m warm up and I really could not be bothered and felt like I wanted to crawl back into bed rather than race.... Original target had been a sub 85... changed that 6 weeks ago as mind not in it with speed work etc and current results..... so target was to get close to 1:27:30..... 6:41 Solid opening mile 6:44 Another good solid mile 6:54 The wind was stright into the face and completly open on the New Forest Moors 6:44 Vack to solid miling and trying to stay with a group 6:53 Garmin playing tricks as dont understand as was running well here but was under a lot of tree cover 6:17 Down hill a nice weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee feeling 6:27 On to the sea front and wind behind, nice 6:40 Undulating and working hard 6:45 As above 6:42 Pull away from 1 guy in the group the other pulls away from me 6:57 Killer wind into the face and up hill not good, but passing a few here 6:53 More of the long grind up into the wind 6:41 relief the hill is over and its into the fininish XX for the last bit 1:27:48, my mind really was not there and loset about 30-40 secs on the hill because of not pushing where I could have, plus lost about the same with the wind... so overall not bad Finished and then the rain came in.... Gym bag, buff and a mars bar in the good bag, not bad.
