bedlam_g The course was always going to be long after last years 9.5k farce, I got 6.26m so it was at least better than last year, the pointless 200m run on soft grass around the edge of St Mirrens pitch would have probably sorted the distance. Lost my way a bit in 3rd and 4th miles. 10km split was 35.58 not great. And to finish a great day we would also have easily won 3rd team behind Shettleston and Kilbarchan if they hadn't messed up the results missed our 2nd counter and awarded it to Garscube instead. Moan, moan, moan etc.....

briandarroch A nice day for running although I'm not feeling 100% (got a cold) but I still enjoyed the run but with a few issues
It did seem to be a little long and the kilometers markers didn't seem to be placed correctly

Celtic_Jester Dissapointed not to get under 45.00 and that will come again, but still a Seasons Best and like a few others have commented the distance appeared dubious. The time is better than some I ran back in the late nineties so I'm not too disheartened now that I'm an M40. Also a dissapointing lack of km markers. GSR next week and my first half for 6 years.

Gus Running with baby sprog, who has done even less training than me!! She was convinced she'd have to walk loads but managed to get to the end with just a couple of wee walk breaks on the hills near the end, and a wee sprint finish. Well organised and nice t-shirt, even managed to blag a rock radio one for SO! Good to see BigSteff running again, and hear Tubbyrunner giving her usual encouragement!Went back to sprogs for shower and lunch and got home to find that SO had bought me a bottle of Newcastle Brown to help rehydrate me.

hannkies Must admit I wasn't too happy with my finishing time at first if I'm honest. Genuinely thought I'd run below 35 mins again today as I've been training very well recently and appear injury free for the moment, so at first I was very dissappointed. Having said all that, the people a bit ahead were all very decent athletes, and the runners around myself - including Ross and Greg - probably shouldn't be too downhearted as I'm sure theres much more in the tank from us all. Huge thumbs up to the forementioned Ross for pushing me on and he would've pb'd when he passed the 10K mark, and well done to clubmate Brian for being not too far off his pb when having a cold. A good route apart from the obvious

HBNS 1st 10k of 2009, hoping to beat 37:29 recorded on the net downhill Strathaven 10k last year. Update - 6.32m recorded on Garmin, started too far back and would probably have hit target time if further up at start & course was slightly shorter!, 32nd & 2nd M50.

Roadrunner Bark I measured the Course as longer with 6.28 miles.I finished in 14th Position overall and just outside my PB.Set off really fast clocking the 1st mile in 5:07.Was hoping to get a Sub 35 and closer to 34 tho will have to get it another day! Was shaping up good and can't understand why I didn't have a faster time, other than the course being more!
Felt good throughtout the Race and finished very strongly. Was running alongside Scott(Hankies) of Killie and John Mcmillian of Kilbarchan AAC for a while. Thanks for the encouragement Scott and good running M8.And Well-Done to HBNS(Colin) my club mate finishing just outside his PB. Enjoyed the wee Run around St.Mirren FC's Football Stadium.A Great field of Runners and 1123 taking part.Enjoyed It very much and this was a good warm-up for next weeks 'G.S.R' for me where I aim to excel.

The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye Have run worse 10K races, but still a bit slower than would have liked. 11sec difference between Garmin and chip due to Garmin switching off under the bridges.

Probably a bit long but within tolerance. Strated well but let it go between 4 and 8 K.
