Beezgirl Holme Pierrepont 10 mile road race. I should be pleased with as I have had 3 weeks with a injury and consequently, little training. But instead, I feel really annoyed and peeved with performance tonight. Set off at a stupid pace, going through the first mile in 6:33 and then made an effort to slow down. Went through half way in 34:09, therefore was hopeful of completing in the low 69s. Despite feeling perkier from mile 3, I must have slowed down dramatically and with one mile to go, I had knew I had 7 minutes and 10 seconds to go sub 70. Was dissapointed to see the clock turn to 70 minutes just as I reached the finish line :( Ah well, a 3 second p.b and 7th lady

Lethargic race split 1st half 28.19 & 28.34. went off to slow, should have tried to be towed off a faster(only) group ahead of me, lonely run, more like a training run, overtook one runner at mile 8, that was it. Good flat, fast course, next time need to be faster at halfway.

rollerman Ah here we go again, the famous Notts 10 mile? Well a Pb at last, kept resonably dry for us, had some fellow club members to focus on and I think that helped drag me around. Not got the sub 80 yet but hey getting closer.
