caw Disastrous run! Started ti get a problem with my back just after 13 miles and could hardly run. What had started out as a steady jog round turned into a painful jog/walk. Oh, and those hills!!!!

ebox Have recce'd both sides on two different days. Course has lots of ups and downs and bends to make for an interesting cycle ride. A couple of steeper bits have switchbacks. Surface is constructed footpath. Should be a really nice country run, but not a pb one.

Gasheader im in and will update once i have finished Edinbrough. knocked a minute of marathon pb in blistering heat at edinbrough may be able to get close to pb in normal conditions. chang of plan ran pb at lock ness two weeks ago running this as a act of madness. ran 8 miles in an hour and felt nothing in legs got to 16 running normally then ran walked rest of the way. watch time 4hr 6min 15 given 4hr 07:33 as chip did not register. lovely run but will never be a PB course, dissapointed that results are not in age catagorys.

Jenson Chip time. First half split of 2.02.02, running with friend from work, he was struggling for a littlw while. Left him at 16 miles and felt like I flew the last 10 miles....though clearly I didn't. Really enjoyed it though. If it wasn't for the hassle of the buses to and from the car park I'd definitely be thinking about next year already. First ever proper marathon (after the Jungfrau - which is really just 17 miles running and 9 miles walking up an amazing mountain) and looking forward to my next. :D

Watcho Very hard,hilly but enjoyable marathon Problems getting to and from due to the park and ride scheme, it will be interesting next year if they open this race up to more runners
