Heslington parkrun

About this parkrun

Rolling course on a mixture of paving and tarmac, with plenty of space. One loop to start, followed by an out and back section and finishing with another loop. Loos and a cafe nearby. Room for bikes at start, have heard there’s parking. On bus route.

Flat, fast. Exposed to the wind. Cafe and toilets at start. Parking nearby at park and ride. Great course to aim for a PB

Faster than I expected, soul destroying final lap of lake, after the out and back section which has a tight turn at the end. Watch out for lose blocks underfoot on that section!

Lovely fast course; flat, tarmac and block paved.

Tarmac and block paving which accumulates a few puddles. It tends to be a bit windy most weeks.

Fast flat 5 laps of a cycle circuit, exactly 5km although watches will say its long.

Flat fast 5 laps that was surprisingly not too crowded despite the overtaking needed.

Currently still 5 laps of the cycle track - will probably change again at some point. Parking nearby (but not at the leisure centre carpark as swimming lessons happen there). Gets windy around the bottom corner near the finish. Is flat.
