Bazoaxe helluva wind - gutted not to break 20, but with hill and wind it is worth a sub 20
Still, its a pb by 25 seconds on the only 5K course I have run so pretty happy

Dave W Really enjoyed this again, despite the windy conditions. Quite happy with the time, because of my lack of quality training. Did have a bit of a niggle in my right calf beforehand, and it is a bit worse now (Sunday evening). Will have to have a bit of a lay off now.

froggyfeet Windy at your back on the way up but in your face at the top of the hill. Good run, really enjoyed - not a bad time since I am still carrying my last kidney stone! (due to be blasted on the 28th)

Lexo Over the moon with my time, considering the conditions and smashed my PB for Arthur Seat by 1.5 Minutes. Wind was strong but not as bad as it could have been. Ran this route three weeks ago in the Queens drive race and could bareley run in the back straight as the wind was so bad!! thought it was going to be the same but was more buffeting than in your face. The start was closer to the hill this year, not sure if this was a good or bad thing as you did not have much of a run up to it. On the plus side it was over and done with quicker than I thought. Well impressed with how fast hte times were put up as well as they were there by the time i got home!!

Mr. White Well pleased, skelped my Arthur's seat PB by over 1 minute and was 4 minutes quicker than the 2008 race. I think having the hill at the start makes it a quicker race as you get it out of the way and it's all (relatively) much easier after that.

Looks like good times from everybody.

NotCat Wind was no where near as bad as I feared - we were sheltered from it more than expected. I love that third mile and ran my fastest ever mile. Did not enjoy last 200 metres slightly uphill and couldn't sprint flat out.

I was hoping for a 'podium' in age group but missed out again in 5th

Top XCountry action afterwards make this one an annual fixture

V Happy with this.

After Queens Drive didn't expect a lot from this - although I did have a few more regular training slots in but wow! Nothing expected that time :)

thechunkygentleman Injured. Gammy leg meant i couldnt run for a time on this one and ended up coming in last from my starting group . Was meant to start in the orange group but ran from the last starting group with thefuturemrschunkygent. very relaxed run/walk without sweat being broken yet was still dragging my right leg up the hill. Fun course and magic challenging conditions so would have loved to have attacked it. Next year for sure no sense of achievment for this one though it was a fun day out. Still, its a PB of sorts...

Tiny Runner A bad race... spent first 1k falling over slower runners who'd lined up at the front, second half got a stitch.
