Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Caterpillar This is early in the year for me. I usually train seriously in the sweltering summer and run my best in September. It would be a bit silly to bet on me. I'm treating this as a training run. *****RACE REPORT***** Er, I don't quite know how to say this but it was a mahooosive PB. 1:28:56 Garmin time. I expect the official chip time won't be more than a second different. Total surprise to me. Especially as there was a bu99er of a hill at miles 6 and 7. After that it didn't exactly flaten out or go down again. How can you have a course that is only UP and ends at the same altitude as the start? The only excuses I can make are that I had my biggest training mileage month ever last month, a totally run-free week last week and it was a nice hot day. I wonder how fast I could go on a flat course? :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Silver Strider Great event. Step down in distance and up in pace to beat Mr Arno Koen RM. Chip timed. Ran without number due to over subscription. Gave the SAFA a lesson in warm weather running.

Liliaicha Fantastic race! Who knew Bracknell had hills! Felt great up till about mile 11, when I relented and walked for 1min - felt much better for that, but hip flexor really sore by then (it kicked in at about mile 6). Shoes felt great, but feet started to hurt at about mile 7, a couple of blisters this time too.

Goofee Ran despite achilles problem. Daft. And did hit 2.10 exactly as I had predicted! More luck than anything though as I was dead for the last three miles.
