Dancing Boy Was on for sub 3hrs till cramp brought me to a hobble from 22 miles onwards which is a bit annoying. Garmin gave me 26.44 miles and I was taking the racing line where possible. Found it really hard to hold back to a steady pace at the relay checkpoints where everyone was going mad. Still. it's done now.

Firesac Running this for the 3rd time. Last time out in 2008 did it in 3:27 but my fitness has improved a lot since then with a 3:11 Dublin October 08 and a 3:21 in Barcelona on 1st March.

Kiwi Kate My 2nd marathon. Still tough. So pleased to complete it and wipe 14 mins of my previous marathon time. Very happy with my performance today. It might even be possible to do under 4 hrs 30 in future events (IF i can convince myself to do this again!)

RYAN_M I will be happy if I can come in any time around the same as my last Marathon in Dublin 2008 (2h 47m 34s). This is part of my Marathon plan to break 2h 45m in Dublin 2009.

**Post Race Notes - Absolutely over the moon with this time, it was a wet and windy day. Felt strong until the last few miles**

Serendipity Brill! Absolutely brill! I did not know what to expect from a marathon, but I had such a great experience. Managed to run it all, except at the water stations despite not doing more than 17 miles in training! My only grumble was the lack of stewarding on the really lonely bit on the lough cycle path and the last couple of miles - dodging walkers, finishers, cyclists in Ormeau Road and Ravenhill Road was a nightmare! But it was a fab experience.
