Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Bob! Absolutely loved it!!!

My 3rd time of doing this, 2006 was 55 minutes dead, 2007 was 53 minutes 36 seconds. This year I came through in 48.52, just 14 seconds outside my PB set 5 weeks ago!

The killer climb at 7k to 7.5k was a bit slippy on the chalk, the next 1/2k was like the cross country season had started early, running through mud & puddles.

Great Fun, well organised, a proper memento, rather than a tacky tin medal.

Brilliant Race!

Cormorant Did this race three or four years ago on a broiling day. This time the weather was horrible and the offroad descent would have got muddier and muddier for those behind me. This course goes up and up for 5K but saves the worst hill for 7K. I walked that one last time so was pleased to run it this. Not exactly a PB course then, and I was satisfied with the outcome. This is a good, well-organized event - nice memento too.

forkhandles a bit slower than last year, but I was helping a mate round. Not bad really - his first 10k without any training!

Lizzie W Pos: 604/637. Rather good PB :-) Glad it wasn't just me who thought it was mostly uphill ;-) Enjoyed the run, despite the rain, would like to do it on a clear day. Finally dried out...

whizzerandchips First time I'd run this, or any off road or hilly race. Quite pleased with my time, less than 4 minutes over my PB, because this was wet wet wet and hilly. Wet wasn't it. The second climb had me walking for 20 or so seconds. It was wet eh. A very well organised and marshalled event though, and I'm glad it wasn't hot and sunny. Did I mention it was wet?
