Ah, it's the FTP Builder you're doing. I am beginning to wish I'd opted for that one too, the BMU program is killing me

I'd have to fork out for a few more months if I did that one NE!

Some impressive rides over the weekend by the sound of it. I felt a bit ropey so never got on the bike. Did a recce of Whole lotta Lava tonight in preparation of the Zwift Racing League tomorrow. 41km race with 3 x Volcano KOM should be painful. I will try not to hit my drafting boost too late

Wondering whether to chase the TdZ badge or not. I arrived late to 2021 on Zwift and have just realised that there's only 5 more chances for me to get the tick in the box for the remaining 4 TdZ events I've not yet done. But I'm also committed (mentally anyway!) to the FTP Builder Training Plan. Unless I do a 2-2hr30 ride (not appealling in any way) I'm not going to be able to fit in both.
What I'd like to do is ride one of the TdZ actually do the "workout" within there, and get credit for both, but that's not technically possible. I could just take a note of the specifics of the next couple of workouts and then ride the TdZ event as if I was doing the workout I suppose.
It's only the "after party" routes that I can't pick from the game anyway without doing an event, so maybe I'll just slot that one into one evening this week. It is only a badge after all...

I understand your dilemma. I've binned the idea of of the TdZ, there is not a chance in hell of my doing it and getting a reasonable benefit out of the BMU program. Plus I am still doing 2 or 3 decent length runs a week, something has to give.

A bit of bunch racing on the rather punchy reverse Harrogate circuit tonight. Slightly bizarre with everyone barrelling around in Dino costumes!
Wasn't sure how it would go, but happy enough with the outcome; top half of B category and managing at least a bit of tactical nous. It's a tricky finish though - slightly downhill at that awkward gradient that's hard to keep the power on.

Ha I came late to TdZ stage 1 and got catapulted in at 81st out of 435, when hoping/expecting to do an easy ride. Unfortunately ego, wouldn't let me just cycle at my own pace, so after being passed by a couple of groups, I latched on to one and stayed with them to near the end. They kicked on with 2km to go and I couldn't keep up with the increased pace. I thought they were more social rides, but even at 150th place, people are contesting them hard.
I waited til the next group caught up nearly to me, with 300m to go, then I outsprinted the bastards, I could see one on the screen, it was "you shall not pass". I could barely breathe afterwards, my wife was going you ok? I was going yes, just holding some people off on the sprint. This wasn't even a race. That's scarily easy how it transforms you into a racing psycho (and not even a very good one). Today's planned 12 mile run hurt as a result. Maybe I need to do a race soon.

I can confirm that a race with 3 x Volcano KOM is a bit of a slag. Got distanced from the lead group by about 10-15 seconds on the first two ascents but caught up each time to hit the final climb in the lead group. All got strung out on the final climb but ended up 27th in the A race. 58 minutes is a long race.
