My fall from the mat was inevitable once I was back at work and dealing with trying to get QP into school. I'm amazed I managed M-Th last week and only failed when we were away. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa and would happily have gone to bed but made it eventually.

A question for you, Frags: how do you find the yoga sits/helps/ hinders with your other training?

I for me, improving my posture and overall flexibility helps a lot with all my other training Sharkie - eg. better back and shoulder movement means I can get lower on the bike and a better swim stroke (ahem, thats when I actually go swimming ;-p). can t think that it hinders anything, and certainly - without wishing to sound too luvvie about it - having that 'me' time on the mat clears my mind a bit
was all a bit manic this weekend, so didn't manage to fit it in much to my annoyance.
does it help/hinder your training Sharkie ?

I don't do much other training but I can certainly feel the difference in my legs. I'm feeling very toned and strong. I'm sleeping better and it is a great antidote to days at my desk.

I didn't ask you in particular, Demi as I thought it might be salt in a wound! But it's great to hear it has such a positive effect.
With Frags I know she likes/has to/wants to train quite hard and for triathlons - hence wondering if there were noticeable benefits for her.
It's hard to put perceived benefits down to specific elements in our training but what convinced me I should continue with Adriene after all was my first session back with my coach after Christmas. I was worried that I hadn't done any gym work for about a month - so would strength and stability/mobility be somewhat lacking. I HAD done lots of hills, quitye a bitof road runwalking (unusual for me) and some hard track sessions... but I felt it was the yoga that had compensated for the lack of weights and other gym stuff.
Some very 'good' Fetchies are regular yoga practitioners after all....
