Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Would I benefit from joining a running club?

You folk are obsessed with Vaseline!

Have had a look at some of my local ones, one does say has groups for everything from beginners up, the other looks like its for fast peeps *not for the likes of me* Lol!

I wonder how far away you live from us, nlt? Our running club is based in Stanley in Wakefield. We are a small and friendly club and divide ourselves up into runs according to speed, mood and inclination. Everyone is welcome.

Could you ask people at your local park run whether they are club runners and get some inside info that way nil? I love being in a club and have improved loads since joining, even though it's a big, famous, scary club and I'm pretty old and slow :) thoroughly recommend it from my experience
