Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Would I benefit from joining a running club?

Thanks everyone :) Will maybe see if I can give my local one a go, will I have to pay for the first couple of sessions do you think or is it usually see if you like us first? I like running both on my own and with others, have to say the most noticable improvement in my running has come when running with others as I seem to push myself more.

My club gives you 4 weeks free first, I'm sure most clubs would do something like that (or pay for a few sessions with no further obligation).

give it a try, you've nothing to lose by it

they should tell you how long they give you as free trial period

just cause you try a club dont mean you have to join in with the socialising aspect of it all , just do the bits that suits you

clubs suits some and for others not - for me its a no go sadly ( but then i'm a loner - i know it and admit it ) thats just how it is,

good luck and try and enjoy

Thats good to know, I guess its just going to be a case of trying some and seeing which I like. I think I need one with a good mix, as well im a slower runner and wouldnt feel comfortable in a club thats full of very speedy bees.

Oooh thats near where I work and probably about 5 miles from home, will have a squizz now.

As a general rule would join a club. My form improved massively and i think that was down to being in a club, if the first one you visit isnt good for you try others

Doh - I seriously misread the header . I thought it said SWIMMING club. That was £30 per month. My running club fees are £22 per year and another £15 of you affiliate to SAF.. Money well spent.
