Cockapoo RMO3B!! So much to do and learn before he arrives. I was feeling quite chilled but the closer we get to him coming home the more I'm worrying I don't know enough about dogs/puppies. I'm anticipating the same feeling as when I brought QP home from the hospital.

I have brought a couple of books on how to raise a puppy... long time since I last did it.... obviously everything said in them is conflicting, it will be fun to have someone else to share with hp! Mine comes home Monday!

my friend a vet nurse recommended a book called the perfect puppy- to be honest i bought it and never even opened it- i got tips here and there and the most important thing i think is just to get your puppy socialised as much as possible- i took woody everywhere with me - every car journey even if pop to spar for milk - to get him used to the car- puppy parties at pet shop and vets- at the park i would just migrate over towards everybody with a puppy- he has slept in the utility room every night since weve had him- we have a crate but no longer shut the door on it- but he likes to sleep in it and it will be handy when we go away with the caravan again this summer- the first couple night he cried then he was fine- i just perservered just like when trying to get a baby to sleep through the night (only i was much tougher with woody- i never went in to him at all until the morning !)

So will Pup McPupface be 8 weeks when you bring him home? Ernie will be 8 weeks on Tues (I think) but breeder kindly agreed to keep him until our schools break up (1st July). They must be similar ages D2.
We will have the six weeks of holidays to settle him and socialise. Also need to get him used to being alone though.
