She is absolutely gorgeous and that picture on the bed is lovely even though she is clearly being a very bad dog at the time

I would love to have her sit on the sofa with me and hopefully eventually I will be able to trust her to do so without taking advantage; there is nothing like a big cuddly dog. As yet she wont be cuddled and doesn't really like being stroked, it will come.
Its early days and I'm so glad I have already had the training assessment. When I spoke to the trainer tonight she said she had already seen the possibility of Bryony refusing to co operate. The idea of turning it into a training exercise is something I would not have thought of and it a strategy I can use as other issues arise... worth the cost already!

She sounds really good, D. Training exercise is just a game (albeit a 'good' and useful to us one) for a dog - so everyone wins!
Jess -who obviously has had every advantage and no excuses - was not at all cuddly (neither am I!) but Raffo has convinced her it's a good thing, and she is much more so as she's got a bit older.
Some dogs are naturally more cuddly than others though, aren't they, and it's not JUST down to breed.

We still sit on the floor with Leah. She was and is never allowed on beds or sofas. I am hard and mean.

Millie is allowed on the sofas, what's the reasoning behind not allowing this?
She isn't allowed upstairs, but that's to give the cat some peace mainly

I think the reasoning is about hierarchy lammo, allowing dogs on sofas and beds is supposed to give them equal status and as owners we are supposed to be pack leader - that's my understanding anyway. there may well be someone along in a mo who knows the proper answer...

I don't allow dogs on beds because of muddy paws and black dog hair On sofas, a fleecy blanket comes between dog and sofa. Admittedly there are times when the blanket is carefully spread at one end of the sofa, and the dog is stretched out at the other end
