Thanks all.

Thanks Hann, yeah, we'll see how she goes, but rough week or so ahead, I think. Just in time for Christmas! :-(

Thanks M_N and Fergus both.

How's wee Chester Chops M_N? Is he doing some modelling now? An ad came up in my Facebook thestatelyhound.com (Scroll down to puppy essentials...! ) :-) G

More sympathy from me to you, Happy. She looks like a real character and you'll miss her, but it's the kindest though hardest decision to make.

Hi dog lovers. I was just checking in for a bit of tea and sympathy. Our wee terrier is on her last legs, unfortunately. She is 11 year old Parson Russell (like a Jack Russell but longer legged). She was diagnosed with cancer (lympathic) in January, had 4 months of chemo, to which she responded well, and has been pretty well since June. But a couple weeks ago she started being sick again, and looked in pain. Vet trip, and they couldn't find anything else, so suspected it was the cancer back. My wife and I agreed we wouldn't do the chemo again, because even though it gave her another few months, it really was pretty rough on her (2-3 days sick out of the 7 day treatment cycle). So it's just going to have to take its course. She's on lots of medicines just to make her comfortable, and she has been OK for a week, but even that is now not helping. So it might be quite close to decision time. Just a bit sad.

Sorry to hear that

Sympathy from me too. It's the brave but sad end of a valuable relationship.
