Albie is doing well. He’s totally full of beans 🤦♀️ He’s still on painkillers which run out tomorrow and on lead walks. If he doesn’t show discomfort when we finish the painkillers then no need for follow up. If he does then I can contact the referrals centre. He was negative for everything they tested him for. It may just be a mystery that we never get the answer to. |

Glad to read that Albie is recovering. I'm delurking to say that Jet (well over 9 years old now) has been up to his old tricks and ate 'something' from the undergrowth on a walk in the nature reserve. He stank of fox poo too. We've had 48 hours of poorly dog, up all night for two nights, taking the dog outside every hour. This time I haven't bothered the vet. We've starved Jet for 24 hours, and have been feeding him again from this morning on a spoonful of plain boiled rice every couple of hours. The good news is that Jet hasn't asked to go outside for several hours so we may now be over the worst of whatever it was. The annoying part is that the dog won't learn from this and I can guarantee he'll do it again. Rant over. As you were. |

Oh Jet! Glad you seem to be over the worst Hrlegant. I wonder how Arlo is getting on, Roberto ? Son1's labradoodle is causing similar angst and though they are have weekly sessions with a behaviour specialist, progress seems non-existent |

Good old Jet. Cookie and Phoebe still like a good scavenge. Be it cat or fox poo, or even discarded takeaways on a Sat/Sun morning.

Glad Jet is on the mend. Poppy, my daughter's chocolate lab, was in deep doo-doo last week because she had eaten dog poo and then brought it up all over the new living room carpet. My SIL-to-be, who is not really a 'dog' person, had his tolerance levels severely tested. |

Glad to hear Jet is on the mend. Although we have been caught out a couple of times inside the house with edible-but-not-for-dogs things in 'inaccessible' places that turns out are not 'inaccessible' to a crafty dog we haven't had incidents of horse poo or cat poo eating on a walk for a long time now that we muzzle Wanda. It's one of the reasons why I still argue with BaronBR about taking the muzzle off - as soon as it comes off Wanda is scavenging for something undesirable, and quite often will find it!

Sitting on the couch with the puppy and his things keep falling off the side. He's sat on a square blanket. Made me think, something like a square blanket/mat with a lip round the edge would be ideal. Does such a thing exist? |

Sorry LD, with my running being very hit and miss recently, I haven't been on here much. But Arlo has been doing great. He bit my BiLs partner when they looked after him but this was about 4 months ago now (it was 10.30pm and she went over to him which we had told them not to do and to have treats etc). He has barely even growled at us since then other than when we probably deserved it but he has stopped straight away. He got a little growly at me a few nights last week, and jumped and went for my hand once, but immediately stopped each time when I walked away and then was fine. But he had a bad belly and the implant was at the end of the 6 months which could explain it. He had a new implant put in today and we will get him done permanently in summer. Tell them to stick at it. We felt progress was really slow for ages, and then we sat and reflected on it and realised how much he has changed without us actually realising and is now really affectionate and while we are still careful, it's much more what we had hoped for when we got him. |

And here's a recent pic of him while on one of our runs. |
