Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hugs, Pen. Do you remember when Maddy was a puppy, and attacked the belt of my top?

Gosh such a lifetime ago! I remember when she was very bitey (just like this little one) and it does help to remember how calm she got (and by the end was not a morning dog! 😂).

Albie thinks my cup of tea is a toy just for him 🙄

If you don't want him getting on the sofa at night (even if that rule bends or changes in future) you could put cardboard boxes on it so he can't get on there but hopefully won't be able to just pull them off and get on anyway.

Also be careful letting a young pup jump on and off a sofa. It can be bad for their joints at that age and could cause issues further down the line.

Thanks. Will keep an eye on that. And perhaps try the boxes.

I moved him from sleeping on the sofa just now and he’s sleeping in his bed :-)

Good news - he will get there. Whippets are pretty crazy and hard to keep from jumping all over lol.

Keep at the crate training though - it will pay dividends in the end. To be fair, they may cry a bit at night in them but they should be asleep anyway ;) Just association the crate with treats and toys as often as possible.

Good way to get a bit of time for a show is get a small puppy kong and fill it with banana, peanut butter or apple sauce, or pretty much anything safe and freeze it overnight. That keeps them busy in the crate for ages. Just don't overdo the apple sauce.

Thanks SjohnA!
I’ve got a small puppy Kong. May try some banana and put in the freezer for tomorrow.

Andrew Cotter is a sports commentator. He decided to 'report' on his two Labradors having their breakfast....

[This, and other vids have proved very popular, and some of you may have seen them already. If not, search 'Olive and Mabel' in YouTube.]

He's also written a book: 'Olive, Mabel and Me: Life and Adventures with Two Very Good Dogs.'
