He always stops at the bottom before the main road through the village. Today he took off excitedly. I got to the bottom and there was a car stopped and a slightly shocked young man apologising to me. All fine, no damage. I was puzzled until I realised the postie was round the corner. Needless to say it is a lesson learned.
