Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Of course! :) I heard the owner interviewed on the World Service v early this morning, and that prompted me to post.

I think my favourite is the one where Olive has a toy and Mabel nips in to pinch it at the last minute. It's a perfect blend of sports commentary and typical dog behaviour :-)

With regard to preventing dogs getting on sofas - we are having to stop Floss coming upstairs while she recovers from her knee op. We have hit on putting her cone of shame, which we got when she had a lick granuloma the other month, on the bottom step. Even though she could easily poke it out of the way with her nose, or even just squeeze past, she won't go anywhere near it! :-)

This evening I found myself kneeling on the pavement, shining a head torch at Boots’s privates ...

We were about five mins into our walk and he kept turning round to look at his undercarriage. I loosened off his coat a bit, thinking perhaps the strap was catching him, but he was still doing it. We stopped so I could check he hadn’t picked up a twig or something. He was fine and was very patient while I shoved my torch around his underneathy bits.

Get a dog they said, it’ll be fun, they said...

That's wonderful, Daisy! And TYPICAL, Wobbling :-)

Raffo kept insisting Jess was 'subdued' yesterday. I almost fell for it until she somehow sensed badger/fox/cat at the back door.

Jess exits back door into garden all guns blazing. Wakes neighbourhood. Subdued indeed.

Ralph was scared of a metal laundry basket - I could put that anywhere I didn't want him to go or jump up and he would stay well clear. No idea why.

When I came downstair this morning, I'm sure I heard him jump off the sofa and run to his bed, like he used to when he knew he wasn't supposed to be sleeping on it :(

The only thing Ernie is scared of is cotton wool which he associates with ear cleaning. I wonder if a line across the stairs would keep him downstairs.

Skye is currently barking THE FUCK out of everything. I'm hoping it's just a phase. Having a phase that coincides with us socially isolating for 10 days is not helping at all though. If she goes in the garden for a wee at night or in the morning, she has to be on a lead so she can be yanked in when she barks at ????
Tonight she spent ages barking like a mental at her reflection in the conservatory roof. Unfortunately it's also our dining room, so we couldn't just ignore it.

And then the husband made a comment about not wanting the dog at all... not a good day tbh.

Sorry to hear that WL. My partner was making comments similar last week when she was isolating and I found it really hard as couldnt imagine life without Arlo now. I asked her outright whether she wanted him and there was lots of tears because she does but is really frustrated at covid etc (and how ill I've been and still not recovering) She went back to work yesterday and its got much better very quickly. We don't care about all the other frustrating things, but its the barking that really gets her and we can't find any solution currently.
