Was so sad to hear the news - it's always the hardest decision even when you know that it's absolutely the right one. You're in our thoughts.....

I took the squeaky tuggy toy on our walk of the streets this morning and IT DIDN'T EVEN REGISTER!! She was completely focused on chasing the cars. She will not be distracted. This is going to be a long game...

If you can get her down a street where there are not many cars put at the top of it there are (like a T junction) you could approach the cars and do an about turn as soon as she shows any signs of interest.
Also, make sure the toy is out before she gets into chase mode - as soon as you see her take any interest whatsoever, ears pricks, turn of head, sniff.
I am no expert but did have a very reactive and deaf border collie for 12 years so have tried quite a lot! Lots didn't work but keeping a distance and backing off at any sight arousal was most effective. It takes time though and you end up looking silly going up and down the same but of street over and over again

I’ve had new pup (Albie, whippet) for about 4 hours now. So far it’s been alternating between crazy play and sleep. He thinks the garden is for crazy play so far, so not yet had a wee outside (3 inside so far). I’m sure we’ll figure it all out together. He’s such a cutie.

Fun, Pen! My first pet, 57 years ago, was called Albie. He was a white rabbit named by 2 year old me trying to say albino. Can we have a photo?
