Just had a cat episode on the garden fence with Luna. I swear they do it on purpose!

Other than gluing a load of cats by their paws to the top of the fence, it's a difficult one to train for...

SjohnA - I read that the other day. Hadn't realised that was happening but other concerns led me to using well tested herbal stuff as flea and worms treatment. Also we had a terrible time using those vials of stuff on Jess

We use Billy No Mates and Vermex - both of which have proved efficacious in every way.

Do they work for ticks too? I would rather use something more natural. I was looking at garlic but google worries me!

Well, Jess has never had any ticks. Might just be luck of course but she's eight now and has always had plenty of off lead running around in the countryside.

We put a small amount of garlic in her liver cake - conflicting views about dogs eating it.

Yeah I agree. Luna is still suffering from Camplobacter I think, not showing symptoms but I can't get the weight back on her. Waiting for a stool sample back. I read garlic was good for it but then you read all the other stuff and it puts you off! I see Verm-X has garlic so that is interesting.

Do those with puppies have problems with cars? Or is it a collie trait? I deliberately take Skye for a walk in the mornings along the roads in the estate, rather than just around the country park. She goes absolutely mental at cars. Lies down in wait if she notices one, will not be distracted, launches at them, barks, strains etc. I absolutely cannot distract her with chicken until the vehicle has passed by. I don't know if it's her age, or her rounding up tendency... it's not improving though.

Luna was always wary of cars - this guy is good and talks about the problem. It is related to prey drive:
