That’s sounds exciting Shyfire!

We almost bought a crate for Boots but decided to wait until he came home. Good thing really as his fear of enclosed spaces would’ve made it very difficult to get him in a crate. He has a night bed instead but only goes in there during the day if I’m not around and MrW is in the office, which is near the night bed.

Boots was sick in the night. It was only bile and he’s full of beans today. I’m trying to work out what’s caused it; we’re changing his food at the moment, slowly introducing a bit more of the new food each day, but that’s been underway since Sunday so I would’ve expected if he was going to react he would have done so before now. He had a worming pill on Monday and I also wondered if it could be that but again, there’s been quite a delay. We didn’t see him eat anything while out in his walks yesterday and his behaviour - utterly docile lounge-lizard interspersed with short bursts of high-energy nagging - hasn’t changed.

Arlo ate half a crab and got hold of a dead duck on the beach last night. I still can't get the smell of them off my hands. He found the crab within 30 seconds. And the duck, he dug it up from under a heap of sea weed.

Crikey - hope his insides can cope with that - have you thought of keeping some over the counter stomach upset settler to hand for him? We have some sachets of YuDigest Plus which are helpful for more serious upset stomachs and they also do it in tablet form which is just called YuDigest that's more of a daily supplement to keep the good bacteria in their stomachs. We don't give the sachet very often but have used it about twice I think and the tablet ones I will tend to give for a few days if Wanda has a mild upset stomach.

I am trying not to get too excited Wobbling. Am viewing a litter of rough collie pups on Sunday. There, I've said it out loud hopefully not jinxed it. After suggestion of 2nd hand crate, a quick search last night resulted in picking up one locally at 9am. Can use it to start with and upsize when and if still needed.

I have a puppy, 9 week old sable & white rough collie. Just picked her up tonight. She is in the sitting room with crate door open and dog guard across the door just settling in. Giving her a little time before I go and sit with het. She hasn't come out the crate yet but it's only been about 20 mins. Penny the cat went and hid under the bed and is now pensively moving about the rest of the house. Keeping them separate bit equally spoilt is going to be the hard part. As well as puppy housetraining and obedience training and socialisation and sleeepless night and oh lord what have I done. Still to pick a name and pics to follow.

Happy new dog, Shyfire :-) I did wonder whereof the cat, but I hope they will become boon companions.
