Hope Arlo is doing ok
Think our little monster has started teething (google tells me 12-14 weeks and he's 13 weeks today). You can see his gums are a bit swollen and he's been pretty irritable and even more bitey than normal. He's caught us both a couple of times really quite painfully even though he's so small. I believe this goes on til about 6 months so I really hope it's not constant, as he's hard work right now! he's enjoying munching on ice cubes and a frozen towel, going to get some carrots and freeze them too... any other tips?

Grit your teeth through it? Skye is still teething here. Quite often blood on her favourite spikey ball. She's getting better though now, at 5 months. But they're still coming through.
In other news, her scooting has stopped as quickly as it started, so it was definitely worming tablet related.
Must book a trainer too.
Hope Arlo is on the mend and Flossie is healing well too!

Arlo seems to be getting better. Eyes haven't been quite so bad.
Teething wise, we gave arlo lots of carrots and ice cubes and rubber toys to chew on. He lost a couple then several weeks later, lost a load in the space of a couple of days. Still bitey but its certainly eased off.

Can anyone advise on best size crate to get for a puppy. Is it better to get a small one to start and replace it as the dog grows or get one to fit eventual size at outset?

They're not cheap, Shyfire, I'd get on to fit the eventual size and look for one that has a divider in it to make it smaller whilst a pup. That's what we had, I assume they still make them. Else maybe make half of a larger one cosy with a nice bed in it

Second a crate with divider. Will stop them having any accidents when very small and you can just move the divider as they grow.
