Speaking of puppy farms, there is a house as you come into our village that is rumoured to be a puppy farm. I’ve only ever seen people there walking dogs round the garden on leads. They have built various structures in the garden and there are caravans and cars scattered about. You can always hear dogs barking - it must drive the neighbours nuts. Local rumour is that no one lives there they just come by to walk the dogs and presumably feed them.

Is it worth reporting to RSPCA as a potential puppy farm HP?

Apparently the SSPCA have been out and as long as the dogs are being fed and exercised it’s all ok.

Flossie is having her stitches out this afternoon. Please please please let the vet say we can start taking her out for short walks on the lead. I can't bear the reproach in her eyes every morning when I go out for my run and she hasn't had her walk (the routine for the last eight years has been Floss's walk before anything else happens!)

Just catching up. Hope Flossie is on the way back to normal now. Adding my voice to the concerns about puppy farm purchases. And seconding the "I've got this, you can trust me, but if you a start to look worried we'll turn away" method of desensitisation. |

That comment about children and dogs needing positive reinforcement and clear boundaries is so true. And about building trust.

Hope Flossie is allowed out for a walk soon. We’ve had two walks since Wednesday, only ~30 mins and in a quiet place. Yesterday evening there was another dog but Boots was ok, much improved, no lunging, barking or throwing himself about. I’m cautiously optimistic. Today he went here fourpawsadventureacademy.co.uk and had a great time, a good thing as he’s become quite bored with the paddock near us. |

It looks fabulous Wobbling. Wish I had something like that near us to take Wanda to.

Stitches out and vet is happy for 10 minute on-lead walks, twice daily, to resume tomorrow. This might sound like nothing for an adult Lab but believe me Floss will be beside herself to leave our premises
