At around 7pm tonight Jet asked me to go outside with him and play a throwing and catching game. The way he was leaping around the garden, bouncing and grinning tells me he is delighted to be feeling better again. My nose agrees that he is now much recovered.

Now if he could just make the connection between what he ate and how he felt...

Good news, Helegant :-)

I'm glad he's a bit less fragrant and feeling better.

Oh, how I wish dogs could make that association. But it seems they can't.
This morning Jet was feeling so much better that he started scrabbling at my (packed) rucksack to get at the food. (Yes, there is chooclate in there!)

I'll draw a discreet veil over the poo-bag contents, but smiled broadly yesterday when Jet started bouncing again; it's a good sign of recovery. His ears came up so he was a 'square-headed' spaniel whereas when he had the 'hangover' they were down so far that he looked like a show dog.

Good news. I have been wondering about the cause of Wanda not being 'quite right' in the tummy department even though she has had no trouble gobbling down the cooked chicken breast I have been caringly preparing for her delicate insides...........

This morning I caught her devouring a fat ball from the bird feeder. She was so aghast at being found out that I only just managed to get the green netting they come in out of her mouth before that bit of evidence disappeared too :-o

Oh Dougal will go outside and eat any seeds that fall from the feeder. And bark at any birds who try and distrurb him! Can't put up fat balls as the jackdaw mafia will descend and force any other birds away.

Sorry, but I'm laughing at Wanda. Fat balls equal interesting smells too, and, am I right in thinking the dog can suffer pancreatitis if they eat too much fat?

It is raining here and when Jet came in from the garden I dried his paws, tummy, ears, tail etc AS I ALWAYS DO. Jet decided today that he didn't want this to happen and growled at me in the "I don't like this" way. I wonder if his tummy is still a bit sore?

Incidentally, as soon as I finished he came wagging up to me to make friends again. No grudges here.

I suppose humans continue to drink alcohol, knowing what effect it’s going to have on them (Well. Not all of them, but I have been know to occasionally drink slightly more than would be sensible...) Also, I have a friend who is both lactose intolerant and allergic to dairy products...he still chooses to eat cake, biscuits etc on the grounds that ‘oh, it hasn’t got much dairy in it’...
