I'd love to do agility with Rory, and he definitely needs a 'job', but he's not ready yet - at the moment he might maybe manage one jump, and then spend the rest of the session zooming round and round and occasionally peeing on things!

Mazlin, at Jet's first lesson ever he peed up the weave pole which put it out of use for the rest of the lesson. One reason why I do agility with him is that he has to concentrate and use his brain and listen to me. Much of the time in training he's excellent and very focused. It tires him out.
However, he loves it so much that if I say any of the key commands (up, touch, tunnel, through, go etc) he gets excited and can't wait to get into the car to go and play. Even at the end of our last round yesterday, when I had made him do it 'my' way, he was pleased and excited.

I would love to channel Ernie's energy and enthusiasm into agility. We're a long way from that right now but he is making progress. I love hearing about Jet's escapades because it reassures me that none of us have a perfect dog and we are all having to work our asses off to help them be the best dogs they can be
ION I met the most gorgeous black working cocker pup today in the pet shop. She was 4 months and so bloody chilled. I left Ernie in the car because he goes a bit bonkers in there. I think if I got another it would be a working cocker spaniel.

I took Rory into Pets At Home the other day, and he caught sight of the rabbits. I had to drag him out - luckily they have shiny floors so he slide quite nicely

And here too - I think Wanda thinks the rabbits in Pets At Home is just another dog food aisle but where you have to catch it yourself

Poor Wanda, we think yesterday was a far more stressful day for her than we realised - she's had a very upset tummy all day today which often happens after something stressful (usually a visit to the vet - perhaps she recognised the judge as the person who often sticks needles in her)

Get well soon Wanda!
By the way, soap had no discernible effect on Flossie's appetite or digestion!

That's good to hear - well, as long as she hasn't now got an appetite for it!
