Chris, Sorry to hear your sad news. When we have had two pets we have always done what you did and yes they understand. I think its only fair that they get the chance to know.
Good to hear Charlie is on the mend, take it steady though Charlie!

We have just been for a 1 to 1 dog training session, chance to iron out a few "not quite rights" mostly positional in heel work; all needing my better practice!
We did a whole hour off lead, about half heel work the rest scenting, send away and recall. All most enjoyable and I learnt a lot and Indi is now recalling to sit and not flattening me!

Sorry about the cat Chris, 18+ years is a long time to have had it's company, there must be a bit of a hole now. Very interesting reaction from Dougall, but somehow not surprising.
Hope Charlie continues to improve
Can't see much of a mark where the tick was, so hopefully nothing nasty going on. Haven't had a chance to investigate alternative flee/tick stuff, he's always been Frontline'd and this is the first time we've ever had any hangers on. Seeing as we've hedgehogs in the garden, muntjaks all over the place and he's caught many rabbits without flees or ticks before I trusted that it was working OK. Maybe I just didn't apply it properly last time?

Our vet switched us from front line to another treatment whose name I've forgotten but will look up and post later as there was evidence in our area (Leicestershire) of resistance building to frontline - might be worth checking.

Sorry, I get it from the vet and it seems to do the job; I've never thought about the fact it's on prescription. From memory I think we pay around £9 per month for it.
