On the other hand, the Whippet (who'll be 9 next month) has worked out that she can stop about half a kilometre away from my turn-back point and wait on us returning. She's taken to giving the Labrador a withering look that says 'you're mental' when we return to her resting point!

It's probably inappropriate for me to now write about it on an open forum like this as technically I suppose it's sub judice. While I am of course still very sorry that a lady who deliberately stuck her leg between two scrapping dogs got a small bruise on her calf the potential 'punishment' does seem to rather outweigh the crime.
