I have a big ol' hardback of that. It's probably his best non-M for me. I love it and always got the feeling he had genuine affection for his characters - they leap out of the page for me.

Only one I’ve started but not finished. Yes, the weirdy writing made it hard/wore thin, but also by half way I had no idea where it was going, and not in a good way. If others have finished it and can recommend it then I might reconsider retrying. I do own a hardback copy of it. |
