I clicked on it just to see exactly how long ago I'd bought it :) (5 years)

Back to RSs post, I finished Song of Stone, but didn't feel better for it.

Wasp Factory was great, The Business was ok, same for The Bridge. Didn't like Walking on Glass. After The Business I gave up on non M books.

I reread The Business recently. It was fine, but not a patch on Crow Road, and Complicity is better as well, I reckon, so I think you might be missing out on some of the better ones, mr d.

I think I really liked Whit. I had to really persevere to get through Dead Air, and I didn’t finish Transition

That's interesting Badger- The Business was the first IB novel I read and I loved it (that little netsuke figure captured my imagination)
After that I read quite a few, and particularly enjoyed The Quarry (if enjoyed is the right word). Not read Complicity or Crow Road
Thx gor the recs

The Crow Road will always be my favourite. The TV drama was excellent too, I may have to watch it again now I've been prompted 🙂

The Crow Road and Complicity are my favourite of the non Ms, I recommend them too.

WA my husband and I were just talking about the netsuke figure the other day! Funny how things stick in your head. It was the first place I ever read about them as a concept.
