Then my brake lever went PING and stopped doing the pull-the-cable-to-make-the-brakes-work thing. After a careful ride home I uploaded and reckoned I had just enough time to hit the remaining squares I needed with a quick run.

My best routes for square grabbing at home all involved off road and I don't see that being a wise thing to continue in the dark. I'm considering moving my square to work and doing lunch time runs in daylight instead. Having just been for a walk in the sun, I was wishing I had brought running kit with me today.
