Gathering from how things have gone today, I am guessing that Chrisity is retired, or semi-retired. Doing a spin on the turbo trainer this evening hasn't helped. Maybe I should revisit this match in +15 years time
I've mainly been thinking about Fetchpoint and not too bothered about running wiggly routes within my grid: I like to go further afield. I notice I'm getting a few more ranking points when I win a match at this level though.

Meglet this week for me. I’m on a taper so I will have to be creative with my routes...

The good news is my knee survived (just) a 6 mile run this evening. The bad news is it was all off grid.

Hello iRicey! Re the cycling vs running - I think that t depends on the type of cycling you do... if you do lots of short rides - like commutes - then yes, but if you head out for 20-30miles the grid is just a short pass through and a decent run is far more effective..IMHO...

Hi Little Nemo! Just got back from a wedding yesterday and very busy this week but my weekend may be reasonably free

Anyonebutmatt for me this week. I won last week (through my opponent not doing much square-based exercise rather than any thing on my part) so I have five green lights
I don't think anyonebutmatt is a forumite though.

He also appears to have run a marathon yesterday.

That's some bad luck mr d!
Re double points: Having altered my training pattern - when I can - to log early for the day, I'd say it really could be done away with. I think I read somewhere it was to incentivise people to log their activity?
Ideally I suppose the points for each activity type would equate to how long/how much effort was used. Which is hard to equate.
Imagine someone just doing a short fast run to cross a border, leisurely walking back to a bike then riding a bike to the next border and doing another quick run to cross the next border, etc.
