57.5 Degrees of Pain
FatRayToSlim, Fynefest I'm guessing. I'll be the other person there looking for a running route.

You get used to the 7 day rule. Losing one week (or taking a break), is not the worse option.

57.5 degrees, yes it’s FyneFest, delayed for 2 years. I feel the 7 day grid change rule disadvantages many runners who have to change location for shorter periods, perhaps due to work, caring for someone or other reasons (my wife & I have 4 music festival weekends this summer). I’m not a moaner and can live with the rule, but being now down to the last 16 in the Multi Match that we've put a lot of effort into (at the top or near it all through), we know we are going to lose against the remaining few super keen players due to then 7 day rule. I wish them well, but am sorry that us, their nemesis's, will have to concede, and hope that leaves other worthy opponents to make the end game tense.
The 7 day rule did work for our weeks' holiday in Croatia (we returned yesterday), timing our grid changes perfectly.
Not worried about the 1 to 1 match either, since I can jump and post a 100 squares in about 2 hours.

I think it's fine as it is. We can't win every week. If we could change it for just 24 hours, we could just drive out to a new and easier or more interesting grid as and when. The one week rule means you have to be actually living somewhere for a decent amount of time.

An alternative approach that covers weekends away is one grid move per WSW week, rather than one per 7 days. Move it out Friday evening, back Monday lunchtime.
This also works for a 7-day holiday away, eg Thurs-Thurs

And what’s the issue with driving out to an easier grid for one day? Obviously if it’s easier, then the regular home is harder, so why penalise someone for having a harder grid? Compare that also to people who have an easier grid as their regular running area, with no need to move it to get everything.

The seven day restriction means I'm not that competitive as in a typical week I will be in 3 locations. Being allowed to move the grid daily (like we can in Rundle) would give me more of a chance!

It has been a nip and tuck game all week Wezza. Now waiting to see what you log today before I decide tomorrows plans.

I find myself in the unexpected position of going second overall if I win this week

No chance of getting to the top though given the 200 point gap :-o

Hi Bazoaxe. It's been great! Have really been enjoying this.

Just got back from work and now off out for a little spree. Should see the renewed state of play in a couple of hours.

That's me done for the day, Bazoaxe. More nip and tuck😃
Good luck for the rest of the game and the quest for the no.2 slot. Yes. I have noticed that closing the gap on no.1 will take some doing.😃. A long term project for someone, perhaps.

I do feel that i've been punching above my weight in the last few weeks, so only too pleased to have at least given you a half decent game of it. Again. The very best of luck to you!

Good effort Wezza.

I usually like to run off grid on a Sunday but looks like I need to stay in grid and plot a route. Lots of squares up for grabs but well spread out.
