The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
The third option is to write this week off as one you can't win, take all the pressure off yourself and go run somewhere else
Having taken at quick peek at your game though, it looks like there is currently plenty of scope for you to consolidate a decent number of squares of your own. It's easy to do if you incorporate a walking warm up or cool down as a second activity on a route where you visit squares more than once. And - without wishing to court controversy - the 'once a day' limit has disappeared from the English guidance so that may give you a little more leeway to work with.
Really Pompey? Since when? Why did I not know this???? Mind you, I'm stuck at home all day working so it doesn't really help much. Also on a flipping cut back week. That couldn't have been last week when my opponent only recorded training once per week, oh no LOL.
I (now) usually walk and record the last quarter mile after a run as I've already covered those squares at the beginning of the run. There's no other option for me on leaving my house, so I can get max 4 points in those squares each day even if I went out more than once. I can't take a different route for different squares unfortunately.
I really want to make it to the multimatch, and I don't think I can afford to lose. I'm on 1060 points.
Not sure when the guidance officially changed, best guess is from 8th March but it doesn't seem to have made the news anywhere. Here is where I heard it (From around 5:22 in):
Indeed, I too was going by the 'spirit' of it. I live in a really densely populated area. If I lived in the middle of nowhere I think it would be different, but the other week I counted I passed within 2m of 38 people (unavoidably) in the first 1.5 miles of my run. So, am I allowed to drive somewhere else now too? Clearly not this week, I need to be in my grid LOL.
