I think I see why some good multi players have so many little runs and walks and bikes now. If I go out my door and walk 200m and jog same 200m every day I get 3 points in a couple squares. I can still go off and fo my longer run elsewhere later but at least I've "banked" the points for those squares.:-) G

It’s taken me until this week for that to “click” :-) G! I’m still working out how many squares I need to hold on to, to guarantee getting through to the next week.

Alice - my guess is that 2 squares will be the cut-off. Although your "Explored" amount is lower than some of the others - so I reckon 3 would keep you safe

I might have to follow your plan G, spread myself too far this week not knowing how many I needed for next round. Last couple of days have been a bit of a chore!!

Going forward it means I can guarantee 24 points in 2 squares at least! Don't know if that will be enough to own 2. Presume 64 (8 points x 8 days) is max in any one square? S

I usually cover 150 squares in 1 v 1 so interesting to see how far 150 explored plus 2 owned gets me in multi? :-) G

Out Sam and ITG hope you both heal quickly.

I’m well out of multiplayer but enjoyed trying it for a little while.

:-) G or the other option is to start every run with the same little local loop to secure those squares before heading off elsewhere. I can never be bothered though as it's not much fun. This is why I've never be up with the leaders :-)

:-) G That tactic works - but looking back at previous games at least 3-5 squares have been needed to make the cut-off to get to the last 16 so maybe a slightly longer daily out and back. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac so automatically always see the same bit of tarmac for any activity that starts/finishes from home which by chance helps the early rounds of the multiplayer

I also live at the end of a cul de sac . Somebody else has targeted my home square though and despite me having 18 points in it, I’m still 3 points off owning it :-0

Jennyh: I see you’ve logged a HM this morning (well done!) but I’m still in theLead in our match (even better ;-) )

Trying to decide if it is safe enough to go out on the bike for a few miles. It’s a bit blowy...
