Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

GG: the number of streets I've been down that I never had before lockdown is amazing, and that's mostly within grid and having lived here for ten years.

Even more amazing, I've found a couple of footpaths I had never even _seen_ before. It's almost like they magicked themselves into existence.

If I ever appear on Mastermind my specialist subject will be “footpaths and trails within 1.5 miles of my front door”.

From lockdown I’m finding loads of people in our local woods and fells where I rarely saw people previously it’s encouraged me to take less trodden paths and found even more beautiful trails. Sadly many are out of grid.

My grid doesn’t work well for the scope I run but I’m trying to work at keeping in grid.

GG, roberton I’m the same, I’ve found various new paths that I never noticed before. I blame WSW for an obsession with getting into new squares! And every run outside of grid now feels like a waste (unless it is to get to the three elusive squares at top left that are the wrong side of a river and require a bit of a detour out of grid!). Sadly the river is too shallow to get any of those 4 point swims though!

There's not too many paths around here to get to know, but when we lived in NW London I knew the local area better after a year (because of Fetchpoint - in the days when WSW didn't even exist) than people who had lived there all their lives. Road names, back alleys, short cuts, footpaths...

Fetchpoint first introduced me to all the connecting footpaths around my town. Now WSW is helping me rediscover them.

My opponent seems to do at least a walk each day. I am wondering at what point my husband will make me stay home
