Not stupid at all, I asked the same question on the board game thread and Chrisity helped me out. It wasn't obvious to me either

DocM is playing way more cannily than me. Down 87-109 but 149 vs. 145 squares! That's the power of walks in same squares as runs.
Roberton, I was insufficiently dedicated to WSW - I did my 13 mile run out of grid yesterday. It was a proper lovely run, with _andy, nearby hills and loch, way nicer than plodding round the fields and town here. But zero use for WSW! Them's the choices!  G

HappyG(rrr): terrible behaviour. If you lose because if that indulgent run you are going to have to give yourself a long hard look in the WSW mirror and decide if this thread is really for you
I’ve just been for a rather nice HM run out of grid this morning, but that’s completely different as Poppy isn’t really playing at the moment
